Training a model to predict which items are which.
Picking out the items.
Acquiring these items is a tedious task. One has to manually check if the item is there, who is using the item and to whom. More frustrating is that there is no way to back up items from a database. Because of this, a photograph turned into almost a perfect model. Created an algorithm to get items from my own library. It is called inductive learning.
I started with pretty much any item I find in my library and was able to match them with my personal books or just other used books that existed. I created a script to describe how to do the testing. As it turned out, it was easy to train the model at what rate it would work after using my library.
After using books that I found in my library, I got better results using books that did not have my name on them but instead had MySpace or Friendster photos. The more pages of a book, the better it would make the model. Before working with MySpace photos, I made sure that the correct page was exposed so that the model would make the right decision.
